I'M GOING OVERSEAS

So tomorrow, I am going on a plane to sweet sweet Vietnam and I have to pack enough makeup for three weeks plus suitable makeup for a wedding too! Trying to cram everything in a makeup bag is not easy my dear friend, however I managed to narrow down from what feels like 100 products to 25.

EYE MAKEUP

1. Napoleon Perdis liquid eyeliner in black
This is just for the wedding I'm going too! I was thinking of bringing a gel liner but I know using this will be so much easier.

2. Belle Madame waterproof eyeliner pencil in black
An easy essential

3. FACE it waterproof eyeliner pencil in navy
Navy is very complementing to brown eyes and makes the eyes look less harsh like a black eyeliner would do.

4. Urban Decay Naked Basics palette
It contains all matte eye shadows in neutral colours and in a handy small palette with a massive mirror!

5. ChiChi eyeshadow quad
I'm only really bringing this because of the matte dark brown which the Naked Basics palette doesn't have.

6. Maybelline Color Tattoo in Barely Branded
My eye primer, my life.

7. Lovely ME:EX single eyeshadow in shimmer navy
I absolutely love this colour - blend this in the crease and it looks amazing with the Barely Branded colour.

8. Maybelline The Falsies Everlasting Volum' Express mascara in waterproof black
This is a must

9. Covergirl Lash Perfection mascara in very black
Just in case I can't be bothered trying to remove waterproof mascara later that day

10. Clinique eyeshadow quad
I'm only bringing this for the Strawberry Fudge colour - beautiful when applied in the inner corners of the eyes

11. Ecotools all over eyeshadow brush
Self explanatory

24. Models Prefer Dramatic Eyes brush
Fluffy end for blending!

EYE AREA

12. Cyber Colors Auto Eyebrow Pencil in dark brown
Duh

13. BU eyelash curler
Again, duh

14. Bourjois Touche Healthy Mix concealer in 63
I'm bringing this concealer because it's really light in weight, and a little darker than my other concealers so if I do get tanned, it'll look ay okay

FACE MAKEUP

15. Australis blush in rosy cheeks
It's the smallest blush I have - every other one are in palettes which I don't want to bring along, however the colour is really nice and not super shimmery like most of my other blushes.

16. ChiChi Bronze Me Up in medium
I like it because it's matte, so it looks a little bit more natural when applied.

17. Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Skin Transformer
"It's a crime not to prime" - For the wedding I guess. And eyelids if I don't wanna use Barely Branded.

18. Maybelline Fit Me Foundation in 235 pure beige
I haven't really worn this foundation but I compared it to my Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum and realised it is a lot lighter to wear, so since it is hot over there, light foundation sounds like the better option.

19. Starlet Loose Powder in translucent finishing
I kind of need it to mattify the foundation. But I put some in a little take away container because the actual thing is huge.

LIP PRODUCTS

20. Lucas' Pawpaw Ointment
This is generally my lip balm but it can also help with burns, scratches and insect bites.

21. Revlon Colorburst Lip Butters in sorbet and juicy papaya
I cannot part away from these for this long since I bought them so recently! I'm not sure if I'll wear it everyday or anything. When we go out shopping or what not I will.

22. Savvy Lip Stain in watermelon
I'll probably wear this most days just because it's so easy to apply and doesn't need to be reapplied at all.

23. Sally Chapman Real Techniques buffing brush/stippling
I actually use this brush to apply blush and powder! The brush is so nicely dense, it really does the job with little effort.
The stippling brush is obviously for applying foundation.

MISCELLANEOUS

25. Perfume Atomizer
I bought this little atomizer online a few months ago for this exact reason! You can fill it with your favourite perfume, which for me at the moment is Our Moment by One Direction (it smells amazing by the way). It's really hard to explain how to fill the atomizer but you can check it out here: http://www.travalo.com

I will try my very best to blog throughout the trip, and I have some ideas tucked away in my brain, but I actually don't know if I'll have much internet over there, plus I want to spend time with my family! So if this is goodbye for now, I will be back in three weeks!

REVIEW // Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter

So I've been incredibly lazy to write this post, and I'm not entirely sure why. I've been working everyday so by the time I get home I'm too tired to write.

Anyway, I bought two of the Revlon Colorburst Lip Butters the other day because I hear that they are quite good. I have to agree, in terms of colour and moisturizing ability, I really enjoy wearing these lip butters.

The Packaging: 8/10

I quite like the packaging. I think the quilted print of the lid brings an expensive look to the product and the colour of the lid is almost identical to the colour of the lipstick. Not the colour when it is applied on your lips, of course.

The Product: 8.5/10

So I don't have a huge collection of lip products but I have to admit that this product is my favourite right now. I wouldn't call it a tinted lip balm or a straight up lipstick - it has it's own kind of uniqueness. It is moisturizing, buttery and it has great staying power, and since I hate reapplying lip products, that is a big plus for me!

The Colour

Sorbet: 8.5/10

This colour is really beautiful, but I find it really hard to wear out! I'd generally sit at home wearing this colour trying to figure out what kind of makeup I need to wear to accentuate the colour of the lip product. So I haven't worn this out, but the colour reminds me of the beach for some reason.

Juicy Papaya: 9/10

I really adore this colour simply because it's so wearable. I wear it, literally, everyday and it's colour isn't too intense but it's not exactly clear either. It has the right amount of sheerness. I actually didn't try this one on but I remember Tanya Burr raving about it so I just said "screw it" and bought it.

Price/Value: 9/10

I bought both for $25AUD when one is $21.95AUD - it can't get much better than that for a top quality product.

SMALL HAUL // Priceline

So for the past two months I have been forcing myself not to enter any Pricelines because of how long I can stay in there and how much money I end up spending there. But today I flourished and decided to have a little looksie and I found some pretty great things.

Firstly, Revlon Colorburst Lip Butters. They were having a sale where you can buy two eye and/or lip products for $25AUD. Considering each lip butter is $21.95AUD, I thought it was an awesome deal so I spent about 20 minutes deciding what to get. I paced back and forth, from the eye products to the lip products and finally landed on two lip butters.

The pink one is called Sorbet and the orange is called Juicy Papaya. Both gorgeous colours and I'll do a review tomorrow!

Secondly, I need a new concealer. I have been looking for a really long time but honestly, I can't find one better than Rimmel's Wake Me Up! Concealer. However, they didn't have any left (damn) so I settled with Bourjois' Touche Healthy Mix concealer because it was only $12AUD whereas at normal retail price, it's $24AUD, and it was the last one as well. It looks promising, so I'll do a review later on.

Lastly, I just got a double ended eye brush (MP08 Dramatic Eyes) by ModelsPrefer. I just really need a blending brush for my eyelid crease and the flat liner looks really good too. The crease side isn't as soft as I was hoping, but it should still do the job. I bought it for $14.99AUD which is pretty standard.

I end up spending $51.99AUD and saved $30.91AUD all together.

CHEAP SUMMER FINDS

It is getting hot here in Adelaide! It is about 40+ degrees (Celsius) all this week and I'm so damn glad I found these beauties.

I bought this dress for THREE DOLLARS at Kmart! Three dollars! That's insane! Fabric is really light weight and perfect for the beach, especially as a cover up because of the pattern of the dress, it will be really hard to tell whether you have a wet chest or not from swimming. Tying around the waist is optional, which I like. A little too short in length for my liking but it's so hot, honestly right now, I don't care.

I have been searching and searching for a pair of high waisted jeans since Summer started and I ordered some online but they were too small (remind me to send it back to them soon) and every other one I found at the generic stores here (i.e. Jayjays, Factorie, Bardot, etc.) were way too short or super unflattering until I walked into Dotti yesterday, and I found these babies. Absolutely perfect length, style and colour! You will definitely be seeing me in these for the rest of the summer. Normal retail price is $49.95AUD which I find really overpriced but these were $20 off!

Secondly, the top. It's quite simple - it's a black with white polka dot crop top that zips up from the back. Fabric is light weight, and it was only $5AUD from Factorie. Oh yeahhh

There are crazy good sales right now so I'd suggest buying your Summer essentials now!

HAUL // Lush

top: Bombardino, Ickle Baby Bot
bottom: Santa's lip scrub, Charisma skin tint

I don't know if you'd consider it a haul but after Christmas Lush had a sale with all of their festive themed products which reeled me in. I'd recently been really into taking baths again but I've never used a bath bomb before and after talking to the girl working there she suggested a couple which I bought. Obviously, I haven't tried any of them, but I have extremely sensitive skin - to the point where most moisturisers and body washes irritate my skin, even ones designed for sensitive skin. However, Lush uses less chemicals than other products so I bought these two bath bombs.

The Ickle Baby Bot bath bomb contains lavender and camomile which will be good before going to bed, and the Bombardino has cocoa butter and soy milk which sounds amazing for my skin type.
The Ickle Baby Bot was at it's original price of $3.95AUD and the Bombardino was 50% off, so it $2.50AUD. I'll do a review once I've used them.

I also impulsively bought the festive lip scrub (Santa's lip scrub) which is cola flavoured. Honestly, I think I wasted my money on this one - it was half price making it $5AUD but I hardly ever use it because it's so messy. Since I dislike eating it, I'm not a big fan.

Another impulsive buy was the Charisma skin tint. I thought it was something like a liquid bronzer because of it's colour and consistency but you're actually suppose to add it to your moisturiser to "tint" your skin. Through thorough research it is suppose to act more like an highlighter, oh well. I use my fingers for this product because I hate washing my makeup brushes. This was 50% off totalling something like $10AUD.

OUTFIT OF THE DAY // ootd

Sorry for the crappy photo, I have no floor length mirror.
Hopefully I can find a better method soon

Crop top - Dotti (RRP $60 but I bought it for $30)
Maxi skirt - Dotti (RRP $30)
Denim vest - Just Jeans (I bought it for $2 at an op shop oh yeah)
Black wedges - Rubi Shoes (RRP $40)

So it is becoming hotter this week which means I probably won't be able to wear this skirt for awhile so I decided to wear this outfit for church today. My church isn't super formal but without the vest it was a bit much, so I put on the vest to make the number a little more casual.
This is definitely one of those outfits that make you feel really good about yourself, too bad I had to take the photos in the bathroom. Sorry, I was in a rush.

MAKEUP FOR THE DAY // mftd

I thought I'll start this little chapter where every now and then I'd show you my makeup for the day.
Details of what products I used will be provided and whatnot and if you want a tutorial for it then I'll do it for you =)

Face:
Concealer - Rimmel's Wake Me Up
Blush - e.l.f St. Lucia
Bronzer - Lush's Charisma skin tint

Eyes:
Base - Maybelline's Color Tattoo 24H Metal Eyeshadow in Barely Branded
Crease - Napoleon Perdis Chocolate eye shadow from the Empress Eye Palette

Inner corners - Clinique's Strawberry Fudge eye shadow

Eyeliner - Belle Madame's Waterproof Eyeliner in Black
Mascara - Maybelline's The Falsies Everlasting Volum' Express Waterproof
Eyebrows - Cyber Colors' Auto Eyebrow Pencil in Dark Brown

Lips:
Exfoliate - Lush's Santa's Lip Scrub
Lip Balm - Lucas' Papaw Ointment

This may look narcissistic but I thought it'd be interesting (for some) and I've never seen any other blog do something like this. Also, I usually take photos once I've done my makeup if 1. I want to do it again and 2. I spent so much time doing it, so I should probably record it somehow.
I haven't worn this much makeup in like a week hahaha, I've been stuck at home not doing much or out where I don't need to wear so much makeup. I'm going out for dinner tonight so I thought this would be suitable. Also, I haven't put eyeliner on my lower waterline for a REALLY long time, and I think I might do it more now because I think it defines my eyes better. Tell me what you think!

REVIEW // Maybelline Color Tattoo 24H Metal Eyeshadow

I have always been a big fan of cream eyeshadows because I suffer from the hideous case of oily eyelids so if I apply normal powder eyeshadow it'll generally last about half an hour and then become non-existent on my face. Anyway, when Maybelline released these cream eyeshadows I was prepared to buy as many as possible, but I told myself to wait a bit because they are pretty damn expensive for a little pot like that.

After awhile the prices started to drop so I pretty much bought every "wearable" colour Priceline had. When I say wearable I mean not the blue, purple, green or orange, etc.

Altogether I have five shades:

05 Too Cool
70 Barely Branded
25 Bad to the Bronze
35 Tough as Taupe
15 Audacious Asphalt

(named from left to right)

The Packaging 6.5/10

Can't say that I'm thrilled by the packaging - the glassware makes it look expensive but the labels on the lid (which are, by the way, not in the centre) kind of ruin the affect.
Also, it looks like there is a lot of product but it is just an illusion. You get about 4 grams all up.

The Product 8/10

I actually quite like the product. It is buildable so you can have something subtle or something really bold also it really does last a long time, I can't say that it actually lasts 24 hours because who keeps makeup on for that long?
I wouldn't use a makeup brush to apply the product because of its consistency. I imagine it will take forever to remove the product from the brush and I don't even wanna think about what'll happen if you wanna switch colours with the same brush. I use my finger tips - not as precise as a brush but it'll have to do.

The swatches below represent the intensity of each shades. Lighter shades are not as intense from the first swatch compared to the darker shades, obviously.

The Colour

Too Cool 8/10

This is a really awesome base colour if you want to do colourful eye makeup.
It brings out the true colour of whatever powder eyeshadow you place on top of it. So if I want a bright blue eyeliner, I'd line my lash line with Too Cool and go over it with a bright blue. With this shade, you can have the worst quality powder eyeshadow and make it look like it's from MAC or something.

Barely Branded 9/10

I actually love this shade so much, I'll definitely buy more when I run out. I use it everyday as a eyeshadow base - sometimes I'll make a smokey eye or just leave it as it is and you can't tell my eyelids are oily!! I used this product in one of my recent videos, link here.

Bad to the Bronze, Tough as Taupe, Audacious Asphalt 6.5/10

They're all kind of the same - I do regret buying these just because I hardly use them. They really were just impulse buys.
I might use them as a gel liner and if I'm feeling adventurous use them to create a smokey eye but otherwise they're kind of useless. Still good product overall though.

Price/Value 7/10

RRP this product is about $11.95 in Australian dollars but if you're smart you can generally find them on sale. Most of the ones I bought were about AUD$6 each which I find is much better in value.

I hope this post helped! Have a great day, and I hope you'll come back soon!

Let's Start

Hi everybody!

I'm Katherine and I have a YouTube channel called 'k-all' and today I went out with my friends and as usual we talked about makeup, fashion trends and famous beauty YouTubers. Now I don't have high expectations for my channel and yes it would be immensely awesome if I had as many subscribers as Zoella or Bubzbeauty but my friends mentioned that all these beauty gurus started somewhere else, they started with a blog.

So this blog is dedicated to makeup reviews, summaries of beauty-related videos I've posted and probably "ootd" type posts.

Thanks for visiting and I really hope you continue doing so!
