Okay, so I get this a lot:
"Oh my goodness! Your skin is so smooth/flawless/perfect/etc."
And as much as I want to say something such as:
"Oh yeah, that's because I cleanse, tone and moisturise every single day and do a face mask every other day, and take really good care of my skin!"
It isn't true, and basically I am blessed with good skin because of genetics and cannot offer the person sound advice on how to have nice skin. However, I cannot be so neglecting towards my skin, and in order to keep having nice skin, I must have a proper skin care routine.
Although these are the products I use, they may not help you. Especially if you have oily skin. And lastly, I do not do this whole routine everyday, especially not twice a day because I am simply too lazy. I will always remove makeup, but cleansing and moisturising I'll do on days where I've worn a lot of makeup or when I feel like my skin is a little run down and needs a little help.
Removing waterproof makeup:
BABY OIL
Ages and ages ago, I was watching YouTube videos on how to remove waterproof makeup, and one said baby oil, and it really works. I haven't found many issues with it however I wouldn't say it has many nourishing benefits so perhaps vitamin E oil or olive oil is a better choice, I just prefer baby oil because it's a cheap option. And of course I always use makeup remover to remove the oil residue. I use this type of container because when you push the lid down the oil comes out of the top, making it super easy to put it on a cotton pad - not to mention it's less messy than using it straight from the bottle.
Removing normal makeup:
MECCA COSMETICA - CLEAN SLATE MAKEUP REMOVING WIPES
These are pretty good, and the packaging is nice and handy, however I question whether it's worth the price. It smells great, and they don't dry as easily as normal wipes that you'd get from a chemist/pharmacy. Overall they make my face feel very clean.
Cleansing:
ELEMENTAL HERBOLOGY - HARMONISING CLEANSE OIL
I use this cleanser because I have some dry spots on my face... And it smells really good. It has a citrusy smell and after using it my face feels super soft and supple. It states that it balances oily skin as well, so I guess it's suitable for all skin types. Also, let's take a minute to stare in awe at the packaging...
Moisturising:
JOHNSON & JOHNSON - DAILY ESSENTIALS NIGHT CREAM
To end the pamper session, I use this night cream. I find it really nourishing and has some benefits including a non greasy finish, but I have had a sample of the Perricone MD Hypoallergenic Nourishing Moisturiser and I have to say that that moisturiser is really good. It smells fantastic and makes your skin feel amazing the next day, I don't have it because it's crazy expensive.
